Ectmorphs tend to be very skinny. They have small bone and muscle structures, have a hard time packing on muscle (or fat) and are basically human furnaces. It's not hard for them to sport six pack abs, but it's extremely difficult for them to gain muscles. I used to be an ectomorph - I had and still have narrow clavicles, I could eat a whole bucket of Vanilla ice cream and my stomach would not protrude at all! My body was torching food like a machine, and as great as that may sound to some people, it sucked for me because I really, really had to stuff myself in order to gain weight. You can't afford to screw around in the gym with the machines and expect results. Gaining muscle is extremely hard for ectomorphs, and you have to make the best of what you have. I am going to show a 2 days a week workout program today, which you can use. I have gotten great results using this workout program two days a week, while also training for rugby. Try it for yourself and surprise yourself at the good results you can get weight lifting two days a week.
